My life has been dedicated to mastering the art and science of healing by weaving together the roots of physiotherapy, a foundation of intuitive Thai massage and the heart of Shamanic Energy Medicine.
My first steps on a healing journey came in 1985 as I entered school for Physical Therapy. Although my intention at the time was to find a job with security, my body was desperate in its cry for healing. I began smoking at 11 years old. Fifteen years later as I entered PT school, my habit was up to 2 packs a day. Stepping into a field of health and healing was the spark that spurred the success to quit. How could I help others heal their body if I could not help myself? Not only did I quit, but the body I had suffocated with smoke and nicotine had gone on to run the NYC marathon in 3 1/2 hours just a few years later. The healing wisdom of the body awakened my path.
In the early days of my career I saw people with injuries in their body believing the problem was in the joint or muscle that was causing the pain. With time, evolution, and countless studies in contemporary and indigenous medicine ways, it became clear. Pain is a wake up call, a cry from the body to pay attention to something deeper. It is that something deeper I have dedicated my life to. It is that something deeper that keeps inspiring me on a healing path. It is that something deeper that calls to my soul. May you join me on a path that forever deepens.

What a beautiful intro. I look forward to reading your entries.
Thank you David! What a beautiful message to receive for my first entry! It has been some time since I have been blogging so I am still weaving all the elements for communicating this way together. Part of my intention with the blog is to offer updates on preparation and practices for our new moon despacho ceremonies each month! I hope you will join us. More to follow…
What an inspiring first blog entry. I am so looking forward to reading your future posts. I love what you write about pain being a wake up call to something deeper and how you are now dedicated to that “something deeper”. Beautiful! I am really interested in your new moon despachos as well. My life has reached another magnificent shifting point, and I think returning to the practice of the despacho would be a perfect addition to my practices. Thanks again for a beautiful entry!
Thrilled to have you join in ceremony Jennifer! I hope to insure those participating receive the information about practices and preparations for our New Moon Despachos. May this blog help serve that intention. I am still learning to weave together these elements of technology with ceremony! Namaste and blessings to you and your beautiful family!
Coming across your blog is no coincidence.. I’m currently attending pt for a really bad fractured femur and life has forced me to slow down. “pain is a wake up call, a cry from the body to pay attention to something deeper ” it literally yelled at me.. I look forward to what lies ahead.. Thank you for fulfilling your destiny..
Diagnosed with a heart condition two years ago, I began releasing those things which generated stress and sadness in my life. I am still working to fill those vacated spaces with people and events capable of bringing peace into my life. “Pain is a wake up call” but only for those who choose to listen. Thank-you.
