Failure is the difference between an expectation and reality. Failure is not who you are. Somehow the difference between these two states, expectation and reality, becomes an identity. We define ourselves by mistakes of the past. We become frozen, afraid to try again for fear of failing. Failure becomes the lens through which we see ourselves.

If we are not a failure then that must make us a success? Neither success nor failure are our states of being. You could say that just by the virtue that you are here you are a success. Just because your soul incarnated into a human form you are a success. What if that was the basis that defined your success as a human being? You were born. You did it. Success. No other measure needed. What if, at the most fundamental aspect, you are a success?

Would that change anything?

Or everything?

How well did we take care of our planet? This is our legacy. How wisely did we use the resources we have been given? How did we treat the source of all Mother Love right beneath our feet?

EarthDay

This will be what marks our success for generations to come. We have been given everything we need to survive, to thrive, to declare our destiny and create. We are powerful enough to create not only for ourselves but for our planet. What are we doing with it?

We are creating our world together. The plight of our planet is what serves as the measure of our virtue at this stage of our evolution.

Mother Earth. Pachamama. Gaia. We have given her many names. She has lived for billions of years without us. How are we now living with her? How can we create harmony and balance with our planet? This is where our attention needs to go.

When we think of the whole earth the task seems overwhelming. But we can ask how am I living in harmony and balance with our planet? What am I doing to create love and beauty? How can I be of service? What part do I play?

When will you take your seat?

The one that is waiting just for you.

The Full Moon in Capricorn is this Saturday, July 12th, bringing certain relationship dynamics to a head. Wherever communication has been lacking and emotions have been held in and back, prepare for whatever is pressing to come out on the table. Fortunately, Mars will also be trining loving Venus, which means if you are pure in your intentions to find a meeting ground and to resolve to evolve, your spirited talks will show the way.  Kristin Fontana, Evolutionary Astrologer

I recently returned to New York for the summer, grateful for the time and space to attempt to bring my book from chaos to order. Practices, rituals and ceremonies are woven throughout. As I was preparing for this upcoming full moon I thought to share an excerpt so you may use this time as an opportunity to transform your fears. For any ritual or ceremony, create a sacred space in whatever way feels natural to you. This can be as simple as lighting a candle or saying a prayer to align your intentions with the helping hand of Spirit.

Bring to mind a fear you would like to work with. Really give it full reign in your mind’s eye. Imagine the worst or recall memories or circumstances that validate your fear and offer proof that it is real. This allows you to feel it in your body. This fear can be energetically transferred through your breath to an element of nature. Use a stone and on your exhale empty all the energetic impressions that have laid a foundation of fear in your body into the stone.

Keep blowing into the stone until you have a sense of completion. Your stone is now holding this pattern. This fear code will be offered to the earth. Bury it if you like for the element of earth will compost the energetic vibrations. You may throw your stone in a moving body of water to cleanse and purify the energetic code of fear. This is a process that does not involve analysis of your fear the way therapy would but works beyond the mind at the level of vibration and frequency.

This clearing practice creates a vacuum in our luminous field as we begin to empty these energetic patterns of fear. In the presence of a void our energy field is going to look to fill that that space up. Our attachment to these patterns are often so strong and the roots go very deep that our field reshapes itself to the previous pattern. Once we release something we need to replace that with a new pattern. In this way we are rewiring our luminous field that in turn is informing and shaping our physical body.

How do we reinform our luminous field after a clearing? What is a simple and effective way to repattern the field after release? Notice what you would like to create or call into your life.

Abundance. Joy. A sense of purpose. Vitality or health. Balance. Prosperity.

There is an endless source of qualities to be informed by other than fear. You can begin to reshape yourself with a new vibration with a very simple practice.

Our most primal sense is our sense of smell. We have lost touch with its significance but watch any animal and you will see the power of this sense at work.

Find an oil that uplifts you. Try clary sage, bergamot, lavender, sandalwood or myrrh. Apply under your nostrils. Mentally vibrate your intention as you breathe in deeply. Use a mantra or create an affirmation in the present tense. Your primal sense of smell bypasses all that is logical and of the mind and associates this scent with a new vibration.

We are entering a new frontier so the edge is unknown, the boundaries uncertain.
We are not sure of where we are headed since the road map has yet to be written.
You are the mapmaker.
You are the pioneer.
You are venturing forth just like every explorer that has come before you.
You stand on the precipice of discovery.

But this discovery is not out there somewhere but rather inside you.
And you discover that the change you create within you
is the change you see in the world.
For you are not separate.
You are that powerful.
You are that creative.
You matter that much.

There was a strong call to be in the mountains.

Perhaps to be held in their majestic beauty and strength. Perhaps to be with my sisters in Spirit as they head to the mountains of Peru.

But the truth is there is a mystery that I will never truly know or understand that guides me.

So I took a road I never traveled before to a place I have never been to on a trail never before trekked.

I share with you the beauty of this day from the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico and my mesa.

A rocky outcrop was reward for the vigorous climb.

A perfect spot for solitude.

A perfect spot for meditation.

A perfect spot to be with my mesa.

IMG_2496

My mesa holds stones or kuyas that have been received during rites and initiations from the Shamans of Peru and gifted by Pachamama. Each holds wisdom from a place of power. As I sit and listen to each stone it speaks.

Maybe it is something I need to hear.

Maybe there is something for you too?

IMG_2498

I lay open my mesa on the rocky cliff. The reward of the climb is the higher vantage point, one that sees farther and wider than from down below.

You are as ancient and primordial as the waters.
The wisdom of the waters live within you.
The wisdom of the oceans flow through you.
The life-giving force of all waters are of you too.
The purity of the waters within you is a reflection of the purity of your consciousness.

How do we tend to our waters?

So many things have been added to the waters we drink.
These pollute our waters within.
This is a reflection of the pollution of the waters of our planet.
The waters that run through the body of Pachamama are the same waters that run through our body.

Tending to the waters within tends to the waters of our planet.

Vision the waters as clear, as clean, purifying the body of Pachamama, purifying your body, flowing freely.

Be clean, be clear in your waters.

Love yourself, the totality of yourself, all dimensions of yourself, the wholeness of who you are.

Love your biological self with all of its miracles, love even your smells and that has been made shameful in your biology.

Love your elemental self. You are of all the elements of nature.

Love your spiritual self. Embrace all with love.

Vision a Unity Consciousness. A connection of all souls from the heart. A connection of each and every one of us to all that is, healing the wound of separation.

There is a paradox in being whole as an individual and not separate from the whole of the collective.

Vision an integration of masculine and feminine energies holding all of our dualities.

What you see is what you are visioning.

Are you looking at what is lacking? What is limited?

What do you see?

Can you see the Spirit in the Mountain?

Look up.

Namaste my friends

For those of us gifted with sight, it is the sense we use above all others to orient us to the world around us. Information comes through our eyes and is interpreted through a series of filters that distort reality.

One such filter is the unresolved pain of our wounds. This is why we can feel threatened by someone when no harm is intended. We may expect judgment or criticism from others. We may feel powerless if we believe another has some authority over us. We may protect and guard ourselves against others if we feel the world is not safe or others cannot be trusted.

This is how the world looks when we see through our wounds.

When we begin to heal and transcend this unresolved pain, the glance of a stranger can be met with a smile.

And the world changes.

We no longer see everything through a distorted lens of pain.

And the world changes.

We must know there is another way of seeing. This seeing is our ability to create by holding a vision. This is what the world needs now. Visionaries who see clearly. Visionaries who have risen from the darkness of their wounds to see our world from a higher vantage point.

0

When we vision from our wounds, nothing changes. As we ascend from our shadows our vision becomes wider. Our vision becomes clear. We begin to vision a world aligned with our divine potential. We begin to see the world in this way.

And the world changes.

It changes when you smile at a stranger. It changes when you stop to smell a flower. It changes when you say hello to a morning bird that has come to visit.

It changes because your heart changes. And your heart is that powerful. You are that powerful. You are that Creator. The Creator that created our world lives in you. You are not separate from that. It is only your wounds that keep you from seeing clearly.

Ascension requires gratitude for everything on your path as you begin to see through the eyes of your heart. Your vision shapes itself to the highest order for humanity.

A vision of right thought and right action so peace reigns within us and around us.

A vision that sets every heart in divine order and holds love as the most powerful force on our planet.

A vision of caretakers of our beloved Mother so balance with all of Nature is restored.

Your vision becomes the guiding force in your life. Your vision is your legacy. It is your imprint. This is what you leave behind long after you are gone. Your vision lives through your intent transcending time and space. Although your human form will pass, your intent lives beyond the finite existence of your physical body.

It does not matter if you see your vision manifest in this very short span of time that you have here on this planet. If you do, vision bigger.

Let there be no fear in knowing how to create a new world order. Let there be no worry on when it will happen. It is time to be a visionary. This is what is so desperately needed on our planet.

Why are we here? That is the question for each one of us.

Is it to live a life unfulfilled? Without meaning?

To live a life devoid of passion is painful. Your unresolved pain contributes to the pain of our planet. Your unresolved pain becomes your legacy, what you pass on to others and what you leave behind.

Is this what you want to leave behind? Is your unresolved pain what you want to be remembered for? Is your unresolved pain the imprint you want to leave on the Earth?

You have inherited this pain from others but it is not yours. You have been asked to carry it because others could not. You have carried a lot of pain because you were able to and be grateful you have the strength. But you do not have to sacrifice your soul in the name of someone else’s pain. This is to be a martyr. A martyr in our culture has been elevated to a high status, as if being a martyr is a role or a destiny we should aspire to.

But a martyr is simply the weight of your unresolved pain that you carry. A weight that bears heavy on your soul and does not allow you to live in the fullness of who you are meant to be. Your unresolved pain keeps you struggling and suffering. You think you must, like it is your cross to bear, your station in life but where did this idea come from? Where did any idea about who you are come from? Who gave you these ideas? You did not come into the world with the aspiration to be a martyr. Or the idea you were worthless. Or the belief that life is a struggle. You may have learned these very early on but you did not come into the world this way.

Every idea that you have about yourself must be looked at and dissolved to reach the truth of who you are rather than subscribing to the outdated notions and ideas that have taken siege of your soul because someone else’s pain was too great to carry so it was passed on to you.

And why you? Why are you carrying this pain? Out of nobility? Out of some idea that you must? And who told you this? What authority are you listening to? What authority are you pledging your allegiance to?

There is an inner authority. A true authority. An authority of your soul. Yes there is authority and we must discover that inner authority to guide our soul. It is not the voice of your mother. It is not the voice of your father. It is not the voice of your teacher or anyone you believed at one time in your life held more power than you.

These authority figures have been given power over our soul. They have dominated the truth of who we are until we are unable to see. We have been made deaf, dumb and blind by the authorities in our families, our cultures, our churches, our governments for it keeps us from finding an inner authority. There is fear that if each individual listened to the voice of their inner authority there would be chaos. A loss of control.

It is this fear that has kept us dominated, suppressed by authority voices that at one time may have been outside of us but now live right within our own mind, directing, suppressing and controlling our own heart and soul.

We do not need an outer authority to maintain control over our soul for we are doing that ourselves by adopting these voices as our own. No longer do they live outside but have taken residence within.

Yet our soul longs to be free from domination. It is how our soul is meant to live.

In freedom.
